Meet the people behind Wet-A-Line's awesome fishing adventures

Richard Schair, founder of Wet-A-Line Tours, LLC, is an experienced professional tournament fisherman and ex-BASS Pro. He started fishing as a child and has continued throughout his entire life. His career includes not only tournament victories in fresh water but in salt water as well.

Approximately 15 years ago, he found Wet-A-Line Tours, LLC. The company’s 1st venture was the acquisition of Lake Mateos Bass Lodge which is still currently open and operating today. Since that time, he has become a renowned expert on the lakes and fishing in Mexico.

When Lake Huites was originally damed, he constructed and opened one of the finest lodges on the lake, Campo Buena Vista.

Approximately 8 years ago, the company switched it’s primary focus to the Amazon River Basin and the incredible Peacock Bass. At present, Wet-A-Line Tours is the exclusive representative for the Santana Yacht Line and under Mr. Schair’s direction has developed the “Gold Standard” for fishing in the Amazon region.

Amelia Schair is a graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta with a degree in International Marketing. She is currently the Vice President and Director of Operations of Wet-A-Line Tours, LLC. Besides overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, she is also an accomplished fisherwoman in her own right. Last year she was chosen to film "Women's Sportfishing in the Amazon" (soon to be released nationwide for distribution).

Our guide staff is second to none in the Amazon River Basin. They have been widely acclaimed, in the media, as "the best there is". Mr. Schair has been able to assemble and place under long-term contract the most famous guides available. Whether it be the Rio Negro River or the Madeira River Basin, our guides can take you to those specials secret lagoons.
