If you are interested in catching a trophy largemouth bass, then
Lake Mateos Bass Lodge is the choice for you. The lodge is located on a beautiful hillside overlooking the Humaya
River and houses twenty guests. Lake Mateos encompasses fifty thousand acres of pristine
beauty located in the Sierra Madres Mountains. Stocked with pure-strain Florida largemouth
bass and having the only hatchery in the region, Lake Mateos is the only lake annually
replenished in Mexico.
If you are tired of fishing crowded lakes at home and lakes that
have become too crowded in Mexico then Lake Mateos Bass Lodge is the only logical choice.
Our facility is the only one on this magnificent lake. Imagine 50,000 acres of fishable water
and only 12 bass boats! All rooms are air-conditioned and have maid service twice daily.
The food is the best of any lodge in Mexico.

Tipping Policy
We have no established tipping policy. We leave it totally up to you. For your information, the average recommended minimum guide tip is $15 per boat, per fisherman. In addition to this, most camps around the world suggest a pool tip of about 5% of the cost of your trip to be divided among the cooks, waiters, maids, drivers, and camp manager. The average camp tip ranges from $50-$100 per person. We strive to offer you the greatest bass fishing trip of your lifetime. If we provide it, then we suggest a tip is also in order. If a certain camp employee goes out of his way to make your trip better, then we suggest that you keep that person in mind when tips are distributed. Tip your guide at the end of your fishing trip. Camp tips should be given to the manager just prior to departure. If you have a special tip for a special employee, make sure you give it to him or her personally.
