More About the Fishing Experience on Lake MateosHow Do I Get There? You will fly commercial airlines to either a city within the United States, or a major Mexican city, boarding a Mexican airline to your point of destination. It is suggested that you fly into Culiacan, which is only a 45-minute drive from Lake Mateos. Culiacan is easily accessed on AeroMexico through Monterrey, Mex. or through Phoenix and/or Tucson through Hermosillo. Service is also available through Mexico City and Guadalajara. The trip to the lake from Culiacan is on a four-lane, blacktop road. There is no “trip-from-hell” ride up the mountain anymore! Upon arrival in either airport, you will be met at the gate by our English-speaking, Wet-A-Line Tours’ representative, who will shuttle you to the lodge. You may make your own airline reservations, or we can recommend an agent for you that is up-to-date on the lowest fares. All ground transportation is included. If you choose to fly to Mazatlan or Los Mochis, there is a $200.00 per person pick-up/drop off charge. Ground transportation to and from Culiacan is included.
